EXPERIENCE RESEARCH HOME BLOG
Anup Khanal

I am a Machine Learning(ML) enthusiast with past working experiences as Applied AI Researcher (advised by Prof. KC Santosh), Data Engineer and Software Engineer. I am passionate about building AI systems for image analysis. My recent research experience have focused on semantic segmentation involving biomedical and microbial images using deep learning techniques.

Recently, I have worked on:
1. Exploring the use of Attention Mechanism in improving the deep-feature concatenation process.
2. Research on use of late feature fusion and ensemble learning to improve classification tasks in medical images.
3. Creating ETL pipelines to streamline bioinformatics data ingestion based on search terms.

Prior to this, I worked as Data Engineer at Cedar Gate Technologies. Even before that I was an undergradute student in Tribhuvan University (B.E Electronics and Communication Eng.)
